About OvaCare Equity Project
OvaCare Equity Project is on a mission to close the gender gap in health by redesigning a system that was never built for women in the first place.
For decades, women have been misdiagnosed, dismissed, or left without answers, especially when their symptoms don’t fit into a one-size-fits-all model. From PCOS and endometriosis to ADHD and autoimmune conditions, delayed diagnoses and systemic bias are the norm—not the exception. Only ~2% of research funding goes toward female-specific conditions. And when care is available, it's often fragmented, culturally insensitive, and not designed with women’s diverse experiences in mind.
At OvaCare, we’re changing that, through three core pillars:
1. Health Equity & Access
We build tools and champion care models that are culturally competent, holistic, and truly responsive to women’s lived experiences. We’re creating a future where every woman is seen, heard, and cared for.
2. Research & Policy
We fund and advocate for inclusive, equity-driven research that centers women’s health needs, especially for conditions that have long been overlooked.
3. Public Education & Advocacy
We provide accessible, evidence-based resources that empower individuals, educate communities, and drive systemic change.
By centering patient voices and challenging systemic neglect, we’re building a more equitable, informed, and inclusive model of care.

The idea for the OvaCare Equity Project was born because of a common theme.
This past year, I spent time talking to women that tried to navigate symptoms for years without a name, a cause, or a clear path forward, only to be met with uncertainty when a diagnosis finally comes.
As I started digging deeper, I learned this was a women’s health problem. Across the board, conditions that primarily affect women are under-researched, underfunded, and misunderstood. From autism and ADHD to heart disease and autoimmune disorders, the way these conditions show up in women is often dramatically different and dangerously overlooked.
I knew they weren’t the only ones navigating this confusing space of partial answers and fragmented care. So I decided to build something better: an organization focused on advancing equity in women’s health.
Our mission is rooted in research, education, and storytelling. Because when we listen to women’s experiences, fund the science that centers them, and create tools that actually work for their bodies, we begin to repair decades of silence.

My love for advocacy started in 2021, when I traveled to Austin to testify in support of a bill that would have eradicated the luxury tax on period products in Texas. I went into testify knowing that getting the Ways and Means Committee to support this bill was a Herculean task, but my passion toward the subject dominated my fear, and I listened as dozens of men and women alike urged policymakers to support getting rid of the senseless tax against women and menstruators.
Despite having presented hours of personal testimony, we were soundly sent home with the understanding that the luxury tax on period products would remain.
This instance was only the beginning of my work ensuring women experience equal access and treatment in all areas of life. Furthermore, this experience has constantly reignited my passion and reminded me that even when people—especially men—disregard my ambition, I—and the women alongside me—are capable of making meaningful change.
For years following my testimony in Austin, I served on the Dallas Youth Commission, where I led teenage involvement in local government through the Dallas Youth Magazine, the Dallas Youth Scholarship, and, perhaps most pertinentely, Period Access Dallas. An ongoing initiative, Period Access Dallas provides a month’s supply of period products to women in need.
Now that I am in college, I have worked with the Alpha Phi Foundation, the Drake Political Review, Drake Democrats, the University of Tulsa Service Initiative, and myriad other organizations to support in-need individuals in my community and beyond.
I am thrilled to work alongside Haasini Peddikuppa in support of our mission to bring women to the forefront of modern medicine.
